Kulula Airline: Low-Cost flights Across South Africa.

The airline is a low-cost flights provider in South Africa. They often operate out of OR Tambo airport and Lanseria Airports with their dominant routes being Johannesburg, Durban and others.

Having been was established in July 2001 and commenced operations as South Africa’s first ‘no-frills’ carrier in August of that year. The stated aim was to position themselves as more than just an airline brand, but to include booking, paying and making ‘the complete travel experience’ affordable.

In July 2012, it was announced that seven brand new Boeing 737-800s will be put into use, with three to be in operation before the end of that year, and the remaining four to be delivered in 2015 and 2016.

Whiles on the flight, they offer food and drinks which can be purchased. Although it’s on sale, it’s not very pricey according to some people. One thing they do is give you some reading magazines during your time in the air to occupy yourself with.

So these are some of the things you may need to know in addition to the good pricing they have.

Legroom: Most people said the space provided for your legs is not very much as sometimes you reach your destination with cramped up legs. Very tall people too will have quite a difficulty with the legroom. Overall most passengers rated it 3 out of 5.

How comfortable are the seats? If you are looking for luxury chairs that will make travel much more comfortable, then they are not the ones to go with. Their seats are moderate in comfort. You can go with a fluffy pillow and comforter to place on your seats to make it more comfortable. Like its said, to be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Are they punctual? This has many of their regular customers laughing out loud. They are not your very punctual airline, however, they are not very late either. They are mostly 5 to 15 mins late for departure only if the flight arrived in the airport late.
