So, I recently made a little order on cult beauty and thought I would share with you all what I picked up…

BECCA Backlight Priming Filter. I had run out of my beloved Laura Mercier primer, so decided to try something new. After reading lots of reviews, I decided to try this one. The concept of this primer is that it is meant to make your skin almost look filtered when you take a photograph. I don’t take many selfies so I can vouch for that, but the primer is beautiful. It applies really easily and really does help with the staying power of my makeup, and also giving a little extra glow.

BECCA Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop. Oh I just love this product. It looks great with a tan and without, and also works really well as an eyeshadow. It’s a beautiful golden champagne shade, but if you don’t like strong highlight this might not be for you. I actually dropped mine and it’s cracked and coming away from the pan, and my heart is broken a little *plays mini violin*

Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in Mind. One of the main reasons for this purchase is the fact that this palette is all matte, which I don’t currently have. I am a massive shimmer and glitter girl, but sometimes a matte look can just look so nice and put together. There isn’t one shade in this palette I don’t like, and there are no dodgy blues or bright purples. There is also a mixture of warm and cool tones, which means you can get a wide variety of looks out of this one palette. The size and huge mirror also makes it perfect for travelling. One thing I have noticed with these shadows, is that if I don’t use a primer they tend to crease.

Aesop Parsley Seed Mask. I have only used this once, but really enjoyed using it. It made my skin feel really clean and soft, so I’m going to carry on my testing and report back. This was a Lily Pebbles inspired purchase as I have seen her mention it a few times.

Morphe Fan Brush. I have wanted a fan brush for ages, and couldn’t find any in Boots or Superdrug. So, when I saw that Cult Beauty had started stocking Morphe brushes, I decided to have a look. This brush is great value for money (I think it was around £6!). I use it with the BECCA highlighter, and also sometimes to dust a loose powder all over my face.
